Biography
Dr. Nikolai Volkov began his veterinary career at the St. Petersburg State Veterinary Academy, Russia's most prestigious school. He spent much of his career working with the Russian Kynological Federation (RKF), dedicated to improving the genetic resilience of working dogs (Siberian Huskies, Caucasian Shepherd Dogs). Dr. Volkov advocates the thesis that "Every breed's metabolism is distinct like a fingerprint." On the PetSafeDB Advisory Board, he analyzes how certain foods create different risks in specific breeds (e.g., purine in Dalmatians, pancreatic sensitivity in German Shepherds) and manages "Breed-Specific Nutrition" protocols.
